Message from CPF Vancouver South Chapter President

During the year of 2011, we changed the name of the Chapter from Vancouver South to
Vancouver Churchill. Ten grade 12 students received awards an a number of the elementary
schools in our chapter received grants.

We held the AGM on December 14 and unfortunately we did not have a quorum and there
were no volunteers to fill the executive positions that are now vacant so the chapter is now
dormant. I have notified the head office and all the chapter documentation and residual money
in the bank account will be sent to them. The money will be held for up to 3 years in hopes that
the chapter would be revived in the future.

Thanks to everyone that contributed to the functioning of the chapter, there have been many
people that have put many hours in over the years.

Brenda Harrigan
Past President Churchill Chapter

France Trip (March 19-29, 2012)

As of June 24th, 2011, 32 French Immersion students (Grade 10 and 11) have registered for the trip. This is very exciting! During this trip we will visit Paris, Marseille, Nice, and Avignon! We still have room for 8 more students. I will let the registration open until the end of September 2011. If you were hesitating, you still have a chance to visit the beautiful country of France! See Mr. Larouche (French Immersion Program Head) in September or email him at
