Upcoming EventsSaturday, June 4, 3 PM - Mauvais Sort This year, our chapter has purchased 80 tickets to the Mauvais Sort show on Saturday, June 4 @ 3PM at the Vancouver International Children's Festival (which this year is taking place at Granville Island). Mauvais Sort is a popular "folk n roll" band from Quebec; check out their website here. Our purchase was thanks to financial support from the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada along with the support of the Canadian Parents for French BC & Yukon Branch. Because of this generous support, we are able to offer members tickets to Mauvais Sort at a price of $11 per ticket (this includes taxes and fees), compared to regular cost to the public of $22 (or 4 for $80). The show ticket includes a wristband which allows entry to the Festival's five interactive zones. Babies under 12 months are admitted to the Mauvias Sort show free. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please mail your order to CPF BC/Yukon (address below),or drop it in the Hot Lunch Box in the Hudson Elementary office. Your order should include the following: • Your name, contact info, and # of tickets required • Cheque made out to "CPF - Vancouver North Chapter" for cost of tickets (# of tickets * $11). No cash, please. • If you are NOT a member of CPF, include your membership application form along with a cheque made out to "Canadian Parents for French" for membership dues • Stamped, self-addressed envelope (except Hudson parents) Canadian Parents for French - BC and Yukon Branch Suite 623 - 409 Granville Street Vancouver, BC V6C 1T2 ATTN: Kate Gregory We will receive our tickets in mid April, and will mail them to members soon after. Please note: 1. We have a limited number of tickets. They will be distributed to members on a first come, first serve basis. Payment must accompany an order. 2. The show is noted as "English", but this just means that announcements will be in English as well as French. The band is Francophone. 3. You may want to check with your child's teacher to see if they will be going to Mauvais Sort as a class field trip before purchasing tickets. 4. Please purchase tickets only for your family's personal use. The grant specifies that we may only sell tickets for the use of our members. 5. After the show is over, we will ask you to fill out a short online survey about what you thought of the event. This survey is part of the reporting required for our grant. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
