Immersing a child in an entirely French environment is one of the best ways to develop her oral communication skills, her love of the language, and her appreciation of cultural differences. What follows are a list of exchanges available to children in Canada.
L’Auberge du Mont offers all-inclusive Nature & Culture programs specially designed for groups from English schools with a strong French immersion focus. Programs are conducted in French, in keeping with the group’s level and pace of learning. They feature a carefully balanced blend of educational, cultural, and physical activities, including tours of Québec City sights and attractions, language and intercultural games, outdoor activities, and environmental education workshops. AFS Interculture Canada is a non-profit association offering tours, camps, exchanges and school programs worldwide. Blue Metropolis Foundation is a leader in innovative educational programming that puts young writers and readers in touch with professional writers in French and in English. Through in-person meetings and videoconferencing, our curriculum-appropriate projects inspire young people to create remarkable texts, visual images and podcasts. They offer several educational programs in French across the country. Burns Bog Conservation Society (Delta) offers a unique interpretive tour experience through Burns Bog. Students will learn about ecology and environmental wellness in Metro Vancouver, native plants (including the edible ones!) and animals, and the interesting features unique to a bog such as Burns Bog.Tours are offered in English, French, and English with additional French vocabulary for beginners. $150 per class per two hour tour. or call 604-572-0373 for more details. Camp-Ecole International (CEI) French Immersion Summer Camp for students 11 to 17 years old in Quebec. The camp is in Quebec City's suburb, on a School Campus - College St-Augustin. Each week day morning participants attend a French workshop with a teacher, and for the rest of the day they participate in sports, outdoor activities, arts crafts and cultural visits. Divided according to their French level for the workshops, they are divided by age groups for all of the other activities.

Canadian Centre Linguistique du Collège de Jonquière has language training services intended for all those wishing to learn a second or foreign language (French, English, Spanish). CMEC (Canadian Ministers of Education, Canada) offers Language Learning and Exchange Programs created to encourage individuals to learn both of Canada’s official languages and to discover the rich cultures associated with these languages through extensive contact with their linguistic and cultural environments. CPF Surrey: SEVEC Exchange takes places during the summer. Spend three weeks exploring Quebec City and the Lower Mainland, en francais! Students in grades 8-12 are encouraged to apply; space is limited.

The Foundation for the Study of Processes of Government in Canada

France-Canada youth exchange agreement
This agreement allows Canadians and French youths ages 18 and 35 to travel to the other country to acquire university training, professional experience, an internship, and to perfect their knowledge of the language, culture, and society. It aims to simplify the administrative procedures required for their entry and their stay. In particular, no administration fees are applied. The Learning Traveller: Language Immersion Programs for Teens is an educational travel company specializing in language and cultural immersion programs for Teens. The purpose is to help you select and experience the perfect language immersion program! Exchange opportunities are available for Quebec, France and Switzerland.
The Museum of Vancouver offers French Program Visits at 10am and 12pm for a minimum of 16 students at a cost of $6. More information can be found on their website in French and visits can be booked online.

National Ambassador Youth Forum is an initiative of French for the Future, held in a different city each year in February. The event brings together bilingual high school students from across Canada for four jam-packed days of activities.
