Yesterday I went to see the famous Avatar Movie that I've been waiting to get tickets for three weeks! For those who haven't seen it yet, the movie is about a group of colonist going to a planet called Pandora which is habited by a native human-like species, the Na'vi, to find an expensive mineral. In order to find these minerals, the colonists destroy the Na'vi homeworld which leads to the planet's ecosystem to revolt.

I think this movie reflects human's selfishness and our environmental degredation. We would do anything to get what we want without caring about others.

When we are enjoying this year's Olympic Games and cultural events on home soil, we need to protect our land since we share it with other living creatures. Some of our activities of enjoyment might threaten the continued existence of other organism.

Be sure follow my next article in which I will tell you about my trip the Richmond Olympic Oval!
