2013 CPF Summer Camps

Petit Tournesol French Summer Camp

Location: Golden, BC, outdoor public parks and Arena Lounge in case of rain
 
Dates: July 8-12, July 15-19 and July 22-26
 
Ages/grades for each date :
 
July 8-12 for kids aged between 4 to 10 that wish to learn French (not in French immersion and without a French background)
July 15-19 for kids aged between 5 to 10 that are in French immersion or with a French background
July 22-26 for kids aged between 5 to 10 that are in French immersion or with a French background
 
Description of Camp and activities:
 
The goal of the French summer immersion camp is to provide experiences outside of the school environment that support and enrich the learning of the French language by promoting the use of language, strengthening language skills and having fun in French.
 
July 8-12: The activities for children can include learning French songs, circus and hula hoop activities, playing group games, outdoor sports, nature studies, arts and crafts, building a small projects, cooking and many more.
 
July 15-19: The activities for children can include learning French songs, circus and hula hoop activities, playing group games, outdoor sports, nature studies, arts and crafts, building a small projects, cooking and many more.
 
July 22-26: For the last week, kids will make a play and will be participating in chosing the play, the music, the songs, building and decorating the stage, making the costumes, making the  invitations and presenting the play for family and friends.

The whole family goes to camp. Students from ages 5 to 16 have an outstanding chance to have fun, be involved in challenging events, and sharpen their French skills. Remember, it’s the students and counselors who speak French, not the parents. Parents must be CPF members. French Summer Sewing Camps for Children (Ages 7-17)

Details: Children have fun sewing their own beach bag, shorts or skirts, pillow or crafts this summer. Cost is $152.00 and includes fabric, notions, machines, instruction and supervision. Maximum of 7 students per camp. French sewing classes also available Wednesdays from September to May.
