The CPF BC & Yukon Branch is happy to announce our 2011 AGM & Conference registration is now open!   Join other parents who are working to advocate for strong and sustainable French programs in BC and Yukon. Attend informative seminars, engage in lively discussions, and have fun!  This event will be held in Metro Vancouver at the conveniently located hotel, Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport (in Richmond, BC).

We strongly encourage all chapters to send two or three delegates (depending on the size of your chapter’s membership). The theme of this year’s CPF BC & Yukon conference is Membership Outreach & Development.

We have invited some exceptionally strong presenters to give workshops on everything from engaging your local parent community through Facebook and other social media, to how to use events like summer camps to raise funds and engage new parents, to how to effectively communicate the benefits of membership.

REGISTER CLOSED

(Early-Bird Registration Deadline Is Sunday, October 16th
The Final Registration Deadline is Friday, October 21st)

We are excited to announce the following presenters will be hosting workshops at this year’s conference:

CPF - BC & Yukon Branch Chapter Support & Outreach Officer, Erika Rosales will also be giving an all-delegate presentation on strategies and best-practices to help chapter find and engage new parents in CPF as an organization and with local organizing activities.

In addition to the networking opportunities built into the conference schedule the Saturday evening banquet is building-up to be a great evening that will include a semi-formal dinner, discussions, and presentations. St-John Alexander of CTV News Vancouver, a former French second language student here in Metro Vancouver, will be our Master of Ceremonies. Former CPF BC & Yukon Executive Director (2001-2006), and current leader of the provincial New Democrat Party, Adrian Dix is scheduled to be our keynote speaker. They will be joined by the CPF National President, Lisa-Marie Perkins and the new CPF National Executive Director, Robert Rothon – amongst other representatives from government and our educational partners.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CHAPTERS:

Click here to see how many sponsored delegates you are eligible to send to this year's AGM & Coference.

Chapter Reporting Table: A table will be set-up for delegates throughout the conference to help your chapter with any outstanding chapter reporting questions or concerns. This is a great opportunity for one-on-one chapter reporting training and guidance from one of us here at the CPF BC & Yukon office. Please take advantage of this training and mentoring opportunity by bringing along any reporting documents which would help us get your chapter up-to-date.

Silent Auction: Chapter delegates attending are asked to bring along a small gift from their community (gift bag, local CPF SWAG, something unique to your community, etc.) for a silent auction that will take place during the Saturday night banquet.
