    Applicants must be in their final year of a French Professional Development Program at a recognized university OR in the professional year in a Bachelor of Education degree at a recognized university or university college and intent to teach French in B.C.

Official-Languages Study Fellowship
A one-time fellowship to encourage students to enter a full-time postsecondary program offered in French at a francophone or bilingual institution for a period of one academic year. Application forms available in december. Deadline: June 15. Official-Languages Study Fellowship [PDF]

Bursary for French Teachers in Training
A bursary to encourage students to register in a one-year full-time programme, offered in French, by the Faculty of Education of a BC post-secondary institution, where the objective is to train prospective teachers specializing in French as a first language (francophone) or French as a second language (French immersion). British Columbia/Quebec Six-Month Bilingual Exchange Program
A reciprocal exchange program available for a limited number of Grade 10-11 French Immersion and Francophone Program (formerly Programme cadre de français) students. Quebec students live with BC families for three months and attend BC high schools. Later in the school year, BC students live with Quebec families for three months and attend Quebec high schools. This program was recently approved as an External Credential: students who successfully complete this exchange would be entitled to receive credit towards BC secondary school graduation. French Teachers Bursary Program
Bursaries to assist Core French, Immersion or Francophone Program teachers to attend credit and non-credit courses to improve their French academic and linguistic qualifications. The bursary covers tuition, transportation and living expenses for immersion courses and tuition for courses taken for credit only to a maximum amount for both. Can Learn www.canlearn.ca Post-Secondary The CanLearn site was developed by the Department of Human Resources and Social Development Canada in collaboration with provincial and territorial governments and Canadian learning and career development organizations. CanLearn is the only online post-secondary education resource that provides Canadians with the information and services they need to decide what and where to study and how to cover the costs.

Information on Masters and doctorate level scholarships and fellowships for studying in France.
Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Endowment Fund www.aucc.ca University Study in a Second Official Language Award Program
This program encourages young Canadians, who wish to improve their proficiency in their second official language, to pursue studies on a full-time basis at a university that functions in the other official language and in a millieu which that language predominates. Candidates must be enrolled in a second or third year of their first undergraduate university program.
