Canadian Parents for French (CPF) is the national network of volunteers which values French as an integral part of Canada and which is dedicated to the promotion and creation of French second language learning opportunities for young Canadians. Support for the French Immersion and FSL/Core French Programs!The Burnaby Chapter of CPF consists of local volunteers dedicated to enhancing Burnaby children's French second language learning experiences. CPF works with parents, teachers, principals, administrators, trustees, and other community leaders to maintain and strengthen French Immersion and FSL (Core French), French as a second language acquisition programs. CPF helps children become bilingual in Canada's official languages. Parents we need volunteers in the following areas: School Reps, French Grad Ceremonies (is your child in Grade 11 or 12?), Concours and so on. Read the duties and if you think you can help come to one of our regularly scheduled monthly meetings starting January 2012. We would love to have you on board! If you cannot attend a meeting just send us an email and we will get back to you quickly! Volunteers are always needed to help initiate and sustain programs. Chapter Meetings are scheduled for 630 p.m. the third Sunday of each month at La Fontana Cafe located at 101 - 3701 E. Hastings, Burnaby, B. C. Our first meeting is February 19 2012.
